For the past few weeks we have been working with French choreographer, Hélène Cathala, on some of her new work. The piece, an extract from ‘Slogans’, is performed in a circle and draws upon ritualistic movement, treating tension and a sense of unease among the dancers and the audience. The dance is accompanied by hypnotic electronic music, composed by Arnaud Bertrand.
The experience has been so inspiring for me and I was delighted to have the opportunity to perform the piece last night at Dance Limerick. Here are a few stills:
