Athbhliain faoi mhaise, chairde! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are ready to get back into the studio to dance your socks off!

I’ll be running two sean-nós dance classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The full schedule can be found over on

If you’ve been curious about sean-nós dance for a while then this is the perfect opportunity to give it a try. It’s a New Years resolution that’s bound to last!

Here’s a clip of my performance at Electric Picnic last summer for a bit of a taster.

Myself and Mary Beth Taylor are hosting a special sean-nós dance event at Club Chonradh na Gaeilge on Thursday 11 December 2014.

Sean-nós dance extravaganzaThe evening will kick off at 7.45 with a free sean-nós dance workshop at open level followed by live music and dance. The floor is open to all dancers from beginners to improvers as well as other professional dancers.

Events of this kind are very rare in Dublin and we hope to have a full house of musicians, dancers and onlookers with a warm Christmassy vibe. It will be a perfect opportunity to learn a few new steps, share what you already know, meet other dancers based in Dublin or just to sit back and soak up the atmosphere.

Feel free to join the event on Facebook and spread the word RSVP on Facebook or e-mail

Hope to see you there!

Here’s 5 mins of Aoife Moore gorgeousness. ‘The Docks’ is a short dance film I shot a few months back with a helping hand from Gavin FitzGerald. A kick start to 2014, getting the creative juices flowing for Ten Thirty Three. Go on av a gawwwkk!

Sibéal teaching(Leagan Gaeilge thíos)

Join me for a series of sean-nós dance workshops in the heart of Dublin city next week on Tuesday 17 and Thursday 19 December 2013.

I’ll be teaching sean-nós dance steps with a modern twist, offering students the opportunity to kick loose and move freely to the music. All are welcome to Club Chonradh na Gaeilge, 6 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 for a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Tuesday will kick off at 6pm with an hour-long intensive workshop for improvers. Participants must have prior experience and should be willing to dance solo. This workshop will cover more advanced reel steps as well as more complex rhythmic ornamentation. €10 admission. From 7.15pm – 8.30pm I’ll be going back to basics for a beginner’s workshop. Starting with a short warm up to get the heart rate up, this workshop will a provide a basic lesson in traditional rhythm as well as a good physical workout – no prior experience necessary. €10 admission.

Thursday’s workshops will take place at the same times. The material will follow on from the steps learned on Tuesday but complete beginners are welcome to the 7.15 session. There will be special rates for all 4 workshops.

Although all workshops will be taught bilingually, participants are not required to speak Irish. Spaces are limited so make sure to reserve a place e-mailing Please arrive 15 mins early to prepare for the class.

Come and step up to the challenge before digging all the festive goodies and don’t forget the spread the word!

Trip-nós (where two sessions collide) is a minute long dance film mixing sean-nós and contemporary dance with electronic and traditional Irish music.

The idea originated at Electric Picnic last year as a live show mixing sean-nós dance and trad music with a track entitled Inspector Norse by the acclaimed Norwegian DJ Todd Terje and was subsequently commissioned as part of Dance Ireland’s MINUTES IN MOTION series.

Directed by Patrick Timmons Ward and shot by Gavin FitzGerald, the film presents a cast of talented dancers and musicians based in Dublin and centers around an electronic track, composed by Galway-based DJ Dáithí ó Drónaí.

Trip-nós is all about letting go of inhibitions, enjoying dance, and merging styles you would never have imagined going together! The film has an 80’s feel and definitely needs to be taken with a pinch of salt! Enjoy!

Check out the latest short I produced with director Gavin FitzGerald and DOP Frankie Leonard. What a fun shoot and of course a dream cast and crew. Go on..have gooo!
